Holistic Check-ins

At least once a month, as their meeting begins, the group conducts a Holistic Check-in. First, they take a minute of silence for each member to meditate, reflect, or pray. Then each member responds to this check-in question: How have you been working on becoming a better human being? The group then proceeds with its regular agenda.

Some groups might use a different check-in question that relates more specifically to their ongoing work.

Each individual defines their own self-development goals.

Committees of existing activist organizations, book clubs, Bible study groups, social-action committees, other groups, and newly formed groups can conduct these check-ins.
